Adult ADHD & Autism Evaluations

We offer comprehensive, affirming assessments for adults (18 years old +) seeking clarity around ADHD and Autism—whether you are newly exploring a diagnosis, feeling “missed” or misunderstood in the past, or wanting a deeper understanding of how your brain works in the context of your life, relationships, and nervous system.

Our evaluations are thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in both clinical rigor and real-world meaning. Rather than viewing assessment as a checklist or label, we approach it as a process of integration: bringing together developmental history, lived experience, cognitive patterns, emotional functioning, and environmental context to form a nuanced and accurate picture.

Both Sara Teta and Grace O’Donohue have a background in school psychology training and assessment, making our practice uniquely positioned to understand neurodevelopment across the lifespan. Our foundation in psychoeducational and psychological evaluation allows us to look beyond surface-level symptoms and consider masking, late identification, trauma overlap, attachment patterns, and internalized experiences that are especially common in high-functioning, high-masking adults.

We specialize in:

What Makes Our Approach Different

Our assessment process is comprehensive and neurodiversity-affirming. We integrate standardized measures, clinical interviews, developmental and psychosocial history, and functional assessment of executive functioning, sensory patterns, emotional regulation, and daily life impact.

Because of our background in school psychology and clinical work across developmental stages, we hold a deep understanding of how neurodivergence can be missed in childhood—especially in women, high-achieving individuals, and those who have relied on masking or compensation for years.

We are particularly attuned to:

Purposes of an Adult ADHD or Autism Evaluation

Clients seek evaluations for many reasons, including:

Our Philosophy

We view assessment as a relational and validating process, not just a report. Many adults come to evaluation after years of feeling “different,” misunderstood, or misdiagnosed. Our goal is to create a space that is thorough, respectful, and grounded in clinical excellence while also being deeply human.

Each evaluation results in a detailed, integrative report with personalized recommendations that can support therapy, medical providers, workplace or academic settings, and your own self-understanding moving forward.

Above all, our aim is to provide clarity that is both clinically sound and personally meaningful—so that the results do not just name a diagnosis, but help you better understand your patterns, needs, strengths, and nervous system in context.

Evaluation Costs (both ADHD and Autism)

There are a variety of types of evaluations, based on the clinical and functional needs.

A diagnostic evaluation can provide diagnostic clarity and documentation for accommodations in a variety of settings such as workplace, college, volunteering, etc.

$1400-$2100

A neuropsychological evaluation can provide adults who are needing a more comprehensive picture of their overall cognitive, emotional, attention, and/or social needs.

A neuropsychological evaluation will include the most comprehensive battery of assessments for adults who are needing a more comprehensive picture of their overall cognitive, emotional, attention, and/or social needs, as well as, their strengths and weaknesses profile.

$3200-4000

Diagnostic Evaluation vs. Neuropsychological Evaluation

What’s the Difference?

Many adults are unsure which type of assessment they need. While both involve careful evaluation, they differ in scope, depth, and purpose.

Diagnostic Evaluation

A diagnostic evaluation is a focused clinical assessment designed to determine whether you meet criteria for a specific condition, such as ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder, based on DSM-5-TR guidelines.

It is focused and condition-specific. While it may include some brief cognitive screening, it does not involve extensive cognitive or brain-function testing.
